I’m looking for advice from people that walked this trail and wonder how I could best prepare for it.
I’m planning a solo-hike where I will be walking this trail in late July (w29/30). I have some multiday hiking/bushcraft experience, but these were mostly in forest areas and flat grounds where there are plenty of resources.
I already got my gear complete (including midget repellent) but am wondering what to expect regarding navigation, water sources, weather, and how physically hard the trail will be (especially around Trotternish Ridge).
Any advice is welcome. Thank you in advance!
