Recommendations for dispersed camping in George Washington and Jefferson forest in Virginia?

Hi, This will be my first time camping, I do plan on car camping in my SUV (2013 rava4 limited).I’m looking for dispersed campsites near trails. I did find this area it looks like a great spot for my first time. But I do understand most sites are first come first served. So back-up plans are necessary, any recommendations would be appreciated!
