My son is in the scouting program and they hike and camp rain or shine. I found a good deal on a Columbia raincoat for him a couple of years ago. It still fits (miraculously), but has lost its waterproofing. for the price I paid, two years is pretty good. Still, I hate throwing away gear every couple years. Can anyone recommend a high-quality raincoat (that doesn’t cost a fortune) for an active scout?
